The Mount Airy Public Library will be closed to the public starting November 11th. This is so we can pack up everything in the library and have it transferred to storage for our renovations. We will be opening in a temporary location, we are just not sure where and when. When we know for sure, we will let everyone know through The Mount Airy News, WSYD Radio Station and all of our Social Media Outlets. We will have a limited number of items available for checkout at our temporary location, but we will be able to borrow from all of our sister libraries and the NC Cardinal System.
In the meantime, a lot of our programs will be held in alternate locations. Look through this list and find where the event will be held. We are still working on places for other events. Mount Airy Public Library
Silent Book Club Often with traditional book clubs there’s the scramble to finish the assigned book, and the pressure to have something smart to say. Wouldn’t it be great to have a book club where you could just enjoy books, friends, and maybe some coffee — without any homework? At Silent Book Club, there’s no assigned reading. We will also talk about what each other is reading, and in the process, maybe learn about a new book to try! Yadkin Public Library Third Thursdays from 5-6:30 p.m.
These Book Clubs are available online
Story Times are available for a variety of ages and are available at most of our Regional branches. Please see the locations and times below or call your nearest branch to learn more!
